What is AI visibility?

AI visibility is a business's ability to appear in the answers given by AI tools — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Where SEO determines whether you are found in Google search, AI visibility determines whether an AI tool recommends you when a customer asks for a service. It is built on structured answers, verifiable facts and clear business information on your website.

How do AI tools choose which businesses to recommend?

When a customer asks an AI tool "who builds quality foundations in Riga?" or "where do I find a reliable cleaning service?", the tool doesn't produce a list of ten links. It gives one answer — and recommends specific businesses.

The choice isn't random. AI tools look for sources with concrete, verifiable facts: what the business does, where it operates, what the service costs, what work it has delivered, what clients say. The more clearly a website answers those questions, the more likely you are the one in the answer.

Why don't most websites appear in AI answers?

The typical SMB website is a digital business card: a logo, a few sentences of "about us", contact details. A human can work with that — they'll call and ask. An AI tool has nothing to cite: no answers, no numbers, no proof.

Some sites even block AI crawlers without knowing it — nobody ever checked whether the site's technical settings allow it. The result: when a customer asks an AI tool, the answer features a competitor whose site answers questions. Not the best business — the most visible one.

What makes a website visible to AI tools?

Three things, in plain language:

  • Direct answers. The site answers the questions customers actually ask — how much, how long, how it works — in short, self-contained blocks an AI can quote word for word.
  • Proof, not claims. Specific projects with numbers and locations, named clients with testimonials. AI tools pick sources whose claims can be verified.
  • A clean technical layer. AI crawlers allowed in, structured data (for example FAQ and business-info schema), a fast page. The invisible work that decides whether the visible work counts at all.

This is the same approach we use in every website we build — AI visibility isn't a separate service, it's part of the system. How it fits into the partnership levels.

Does it actually work?

Several of our clients are already getting inquiries from people who found them in AI answers. Not through ads, not through Google — because their website answers exactly what customers are asking.

Check for yourself

Don't take our word for it — check for yourself. Open ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity and ask:

"Where do I find [your service] in Riga?"

See which businesses the AI recommends, and whether you're one of them. If you're not, that's exactly what we help change.

AI visibility FAQ

Yes — if your website is accessible to AI crawlers and contains structured, verifiable answers to the questions your customers ask. AI tools recommend businesses they can find concrete facts about: services, prices, projects, reviews. Most Latvian websites have none of that structure, so competition is still low.

SEO (search engine optimisation) helps your page appear in the Google results list, where the customer chooses what to open. GEO (generative engine optimisation) helps your business be in the single answer an AI tool gives directly. The foundations are shared — good structure, fast pages, truthful content — but GEO additionally requires self-contained answers an AI can cite.

The honest answer: it is not precisely predictable. Some tools (like Perplexity) search the live web with every query, so new content can be reflected quickly; others rely on a periodically refreshed index, where changes surface more slowly — usually within weeks, sometimes months. That is why we build AI visibility as part of a system, not a one-off trick: every new content page increases the chance of being cited.

No — it complements it. Customers still search on Google, and many AI answers draw on the same sources search engines index. The good news: the work that makes a page visible to AI tools improves its Google rankings at the same time. One investment, two channels.
